Dillon McCowan scores pair of runner-up finishes in Ron Jenkins Memorial and Wiener Nationals
For a three-race swing with the Lucas Oil Midwest Racing Association, Dillon McCowan rolled into Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Friday for the first night of his Labor Day weekend.
Recording a DNF on night one, McCowan rebounded in Saturday's $12,000-to-win finale as he most of the 40-lap feature before settling for a runner-up finish behind Tony Jackson Jr.
On Sunday afternoon, McCowan followed the series to Moberly (Mo.) Motorsports Park for the famous Wiener Nationals.
Starting ninth in the $10,000-to-win show, McCowan stormed forward and recorded his second runner-up finish in a row. He trailed Chad Simpson while Billy Moyer completed the podium.
