Dillon McCowan
North/South 100 brings McCowan to Florence Speedway
With a $75,000 payday up for grabs, Dillon McCowan made the long haul to the Bluegrass State for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned North/South 100 at Florence Speedway (Walton, Ky.) on Thursday afternoon.
With 61 Late Models checked in for the weekend, McCowan recorded a pair of 16th-place finishes in Thursday and Friday preliminary features which earned him a third-row starting spot in one of Saturday's heat races.
Losing ground in his heat race, Dillon finished seventh in his B-Main and was unable to make the 100-lap main event. McCowan did compete in the non-qualifiers race where he would finish sixth.
