Dillon McCowan races into Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway
Making his way to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday to kick off his Memorial Day weekend, Dillon McCowan joined 63 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competitors for the first night of the Show-Me 100.
Starting with the $10,000-to-win Cowboy Classic, McCowan made up two spots in his heat race but came up just short of making the main event with a fourth-place finish in his B-Main.
For another $10,000-to-win show on Friday, Dillon snuck into the feature by grabbing the final transfer spot in his heat race. McCowan was the first retiree of the feature and finished 24th.
Charging to the victory in his B-Main on Saturday, McCowan earned the 20th-starting spot for the $50,000-to-win main event. Completing all 80-laps, Dillon landed a 16th-place finish.
