McCowan Second at Springfield
Dillon McCowan made the short trip to Springfield (Mo.) Raceway on Saturday for the Busch Light Turkey Bowl XVII. A stacked field of 51 Super Late Models invaded the 1/4-mile for the unsanctioned event.
His outing began with an impressive ninth-to-second performance in his heat race, which locked Dillon into the fourth-starting spot for the $5,075-to-win main event. McCowan pursued race-long leader Tyler Stevens throughout the finale before ultimately settling into a runner-up finish with Logan Martin, Ryan Gustin, and Justin Zeitner completing the Top-5 finishers.
